Katherine Thompson

As Vice Principal of Clean Energy at IPG, Katherine plays a key role in advancing sustainable projects, working closely with Anwin to drive clean energy initiatives. She supports IPG’s portfolio by shaping energy strategies and aligning them with emerging market opportunities.

Katherine brings over seven years of experience in energy markets. She led the bid preparation for the $750 million New York Bight offshore wind auction, managing a team of 20 across JV partners and overseeing a $1.5 million budget. Her expertise was instrumental in navigating BOEM’s New York Bight and California auctions, analyzing price curves, load growth, and energy generation trends.

Katherine holds an MBA in Sustainability and Entrepreneurship from MIT Sloan and a BSE in Electrical Engineering with a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
